Why Cumbria needs its own job board
Around 60,000 jobs across the county sit in the nuclear, energy and advanced manufacturing supply chain, from Sellafield's decommissioning programme to submarine build in Barrow. Manufacturing accounts for roughly 16% of employment here — more than double the national average. Yet employers still advertise on generic national boards and pay for applicants who never intend to move here.
Who we're for
Tier 2 and tier 3 supply chain SMEs who can't justify a national recruitment spend, and candidates who want to build a career without leaving the county. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, and standard listings expire after 30 days so the board stays current.
